 About Chris Chaplin - Reiki Master

I was born in South Africa and lived there for a large portion of my life, working in the corporate world as a project manager. A number of years ago I landed in the USA with my family, first landing in Iowa City and then moving to San Diego 16 months later, where we continue to live and enjoy life 11 years later. I felt that it was time to follow my heart and decided to leave the corporate world.  I have had an interesting journey since then.

 

To cut a long story short, I undertook a spiritual journey to a magical part of the world in Teotihuacan, Mexico and while there I rediscovered a part of myself that I had been ignoring for sometime. Upon returning I started to meditate more frequently, listen to my intuition more and practice yoga. I researched a number of ways that I could join the healing arts world and was drawn to Reiki as the first step along my path.

I received my level one attunement and immediately began my daily self practice of Reiki and also on a steady stream of family and friends. The energy work was powerful and amazing and I knew I was meant to do this work. I received a few referrals and so a practice was starting. A few months passed and I decided to attend the level two attunement.

The effect of that attunement was powerful and immediate. I worked on some of the same people and they could feel the difference as could my clients.

After much soul searching I decided to change teachers for my masters. I completed my masters training and have continued to practice Reiki on others and myself.
